In support of Children in Need, Draka held "Dress Down Friday" events at both Derby andLlanelli sites. At Derby, an earlier tradition of a charity "Drum Push" event was also revived.

The event was held in Derby City centre and was reported on local radio and in the Derby Evening Telegraph.

Several of the more athletic Draka employees hauled a 1.7m cable drum throughout the pedestrian areas of the city and collected donations from well-wishers and passers by.

The drum was adorned with the logos of Draka customers and suppliers who generously supported the event.

Thank you to the organisers; it was trust and professionalism that made things happen; and thanks to the many Draka team members, Draka customers, Draka suppliers and people in the streets who gave so generously.
